GCalls Assistant

Frequently asked questions

Briefly, the things people ask most: what the person on the other end hears, where the assistant's limits are, and what this costs.

What does the person being called hear?

The first sentence of every call says two things: that an AI assistant is speaking, and on whose behalf it is calling. After that it is an ordinary conversation in the local language — the assistant explains the errand, listens, checks details and sees it through.

Does it really say it is not a human?

Always. It is a legal requirement in the European Union and we make no exceptions to it — not on request, and not «so we can settle this faster». If the other person asks again, the assistant confirms it a second time.

What language does it speak?

The language of the person being called. You write the errand in yours — the assistant settles it in Spanish, German or English — and brings the summary back in yours. You see the transcript in both: word for word, and translated.

What will the assistant never do?

It will not agree to a payment, sign a contract, leave a deposit or change an existing booking of yours — however hard the other side pushes. It will not give out more of your details than you allowed: your full name and your phone number are separate switches in the app. What is switched off it treats as absent rather than forbidden, so it invents no substitute.

When an errand needs a decision it is not entitled to make, it does not invent one: it stops and asks you.

Can I cancel a call?

Before it starts — yes, by swiping the errand in the app. A conversation already under way we do not cut off: a live person picked up, and dropping them mid-sentence is worse than finishing. The assistant ends the call itself and promises nothing on your behalf.

What happens to the conversation?

You get a transcript — the text of what was said — and you see it on the call card. It is not there for an archive: when the assistant writes «they promised a discount until the end of the month», a word-for-word quote stands beside it, and that turns a retelling into evidence.

We do not keep the audio. The voice is processed as it happens, to become text, and is gone with the call — we do not want to record a person who signed nothing with us. Deleting your account erases the transcripts along with everything else.

What does it cost?

The unit is a minute of conversation, and actual duration is counted rather than rounded up: twelve calls of forty seconds are eight minutes, not twelve.

Minutes are bought as a pack in the app: 30 minutes for €10, 100 for €25 or 400 for €50 — from 33 down to 13 cents a minute. A pack does not expire. How many are left is in the app, under «Subscription»; promo codes go in there too.

What number does it call from?

From the assistant's number — a local number of the country the call is made from. It is shown in your account. If the other person calls it back, the assistant answers and tells you.

And incoming calls?

The assistant takes them in your place when you do not pick up — your phone switches forwarding on once, with a carrier service code. You can switch it off at any time: the «Line and forwarding» section, where a button dials ##002#.

What if nobody answers?

The assistant calls back — as many times and with the pause you set, and only within the working hours of whoever it is calling. When the attempts run out you get told, rather than left with silence.

Where does my data go?

Your address book never leaves your phone: the assistant works out who is calling on the device itself. The calendar is write-only — the assistant adds what was agreed and does not read your events, because it has no business disclosing your plans to the person on the line.

Something went wrong — where do I write?

The app has «Report a problem»: two fields, and it reaches us straight away together with the build version and the device model — without which the first question back would be «on what?». Anything that is not a defect goes to Support: Telegram, or support@gcall.app.
